If I decide I do not want to complete one of my "extra" or non-required courses, can I drop the course and it be removed from my transcript? (Diploma-seeking Student)

If I decide I do not want to complete one of my "extra" or non-required courses, can I drop the course and it be removed from my transcript? (Diploma-seeking Student)

Yes, it is possible for you to drop the course and it be removed from your transcript. However, there are couple things to keep in mind:

1. We cannot remove a course if there are at least two quarter grades (ex. Quarter 1 grade and Quarter 2 grade).
2. You should still have a counselor review your total credits to ensure this course is "extra" since dropping it may mean you would have to pick up another in order to meet credit requirements for graduation (if diploma-seeking).

If you want to drop a course, please submit this request to our general Academic Counseling inbox: counselors@setonhome.org
