How many credits from non-academic electives can a student apply to the total credit requirement for graduation?

Students are free to transfer and apply 2 credits of non-academic electives (e.g. athletics, music, art, Driver's ed, etc.) via Independent Study (https://www.setonhome.org/academics/independent-study/) to help them meet their total credit requirements for graduation.

This means students seeking to graduate with the standard, Academic diploma (https://www.setonhome.org/admissions/diploma-requirements/) would need to complete at least 1 credit of academic electives (e.g. World Geography, Personal Finance, Creative Writing, etc.: https://support.setonhome.org/portal/en/kb/articles/course-options-for-electives). This also means that students seeking to graduate with the General diploma (https://support.setonhome.org/portal/en/kb/articles/is-the-general-d) would need to complete at least 3 credits of academic electives.

For example, if a student transfers a full credit each year of HS (4 credits total) for his/her participation in a sport, only 2 of those 4 credits would count towards the 22 total credits needed for graduation.
