How to input home grades for Literary Interpretation?

The quizzes on the newer website Seton Online do not automatically update the student's grade on MySeton (older website). You will need to manually input the grades on MySeton by clicking the link, "Enter Parent Grades" (see screenshot).

As the parent/teacher, It is up to your discretion how you record and grade the home-graded items like the Scarlet Letter Daily Work, Poetry Discussion Questions, and Daily Work Average.

Some parents calculate the average of the all quizzes and count that as the Scarlet Letter Daily Work while others give a grade based on the student's engagement with the text (reading consistently and annotating the text, putting effort in answering the discussion questions, if they got a quiz question wrong they figure out what the right answer was, etc. ).

The same applies to the Poetry Discussion questions and Daily Work Average. It is your estimation of the student's performance in engaging with the discussion questions and their overall work throughout the quarter.

You are not required to give grades for these home-graded items (highlighted in yellow as seen in the screenshot). In order for the student to receive credit for the course, she only needs to submit the required, Seton-graded assignments (non-highlighted fields in the screenshot). If you choose not to submit any parent/teacher grades, the final grade for each quarter will be based solely on the Seton-graded assignments.
