What are my options if my HS student is ineligible to enroll in the next grade due to incomplete courses?
To ensure students are sufficiently progressing toward graduation,
it is the policy of Seton that diploma-seeking students re-enrolling with Seton
in 11th grade must have finished all of their 9th grade courses, and that
diploma-seeking students re-enrolling in 12th grade must have finished all of
their 9th and 10th grade courses.
Seton offers two options for the
temporarily ineligible student:
1. We can cancel the re-enrollment until
the student catches up and becomes eligible. Students have 14 months from the
date of their current grade’s enrollment to complete their work. If your
student needs more time beyond that to complete the courses listed above,
kindly contact admissions for an extension. 2. Temporarily
change your student’s status to non-diploma seeking. Once the student has completed the incomplete courses, let us know, and we will place them back in the
diploma-seeking track.
