Seton Students and NCAA Eligibility

Seton Students and NCAA Eligibility

NCAA does not recognize Seton as a high school, unfortunately. Therefore, all students that are seeking NCAA eligibility are considered and qualified as homeschooled students. NCAA's homeschool toolkit will be your guide to meet their requirements. https://www.ncaa.org/sports/2014/10/13/home-school-students.aspx

We recommend that students focus on the core courses (link below) and use the Home School Core-Course Worksheet (attached) for all of those courses as the student enrolls and completes those courses. Some families have found it helpful to request a scope and sequence from Seton to aid with the form. You may email guidance@setonhome.org to those as needed. We do not recommend using a foreign language as a core course.

Many families have become eligible with NCAA while using Seton.  However, their qualifications do change regularly, so we recommend staying up-to-date with their website as you begin the process.

If you have any further questions, feel free to email guidance@setonhome.org
